This easy, dairy free Raspberry Smoothie with Avocado and Mint can be enjoyed for breakfast or as a delicious, healthy snack anytime.
If you read my post from a few days ago you will know that wonky avocados have recently flooded the supermarkets in the UK. As a result, I have several wonky avocados ripening on my windowsill in the kitchen. I’ve been doing my best not to let them go to waste and today I am sharing my new avocado recipe – Raspberry Smoothie with Avocado and Mint.
Dairy free raspberry smoothie
This avocado smoothie recipe is dairy free. I used Alpro Coconut Almond milk alternative, which added a subtle coconut flavour to the smoothie, but without the calories of coconut milk. You can use other non-dairy alternatives if you like, such as soya milk for example.
Raspberry smoothie with avocado
Avocado is an ideal smoothie ingredient, as it provides extra nutrients, is a great natural thickener and produces a silky smooth texture. And you can’t taste it at all in this raspberry smoothie recipe! The smoothie is fruity and moderately sweet. I added 1 teaspoon of honey (use maple syrup instead if you like), but adding another wouldn’t make the smoothie overly sweet, either.
The mint
Using a bit of mint in this avocado smoothie makes it super refreshing and adds another interesting flavour element. The result is a sweet, tangy and refreshing drink. You could add lemon balm instead of the mint if you like. Lemon balm has a refreshing, subtle lemony flavour, which tastes fantastic in smoothies!
Final notes
This raspberry smoothie makes a delicious easy breakfast idea as well as a refreshing, healthy snack. I used frozen rather than fresh raspberries so I was able to enjoy the smoothie straight away without having to refrigerate it first. You can keep leftovers in the fridge (ideally in an airtight container) for a few hours.

Thanks! If you aren’t crazy about avocado then this recipe is ideal, as you can’t taste it at all:)
This smoothie looks fabulous. We have a lot of smoothies. I love raspberries and avocado. I’m anxious to try lemon balm and Alpro Coconut Almond milk alternative. Pinned and shared. Thank you for sharing at Tasty Tuesdays. Since you like avocados so much I will be checking back to get some more recipes with avocados.
Thank you! Hope you like this smoothie if you do try it! I am new to Tasty Tuesdays and will definitely be linking more recipes up with this link party:)
This smoothie looks really pretty and refreshing! I also like to use lemon balm in smoothies, and my lemon balm wants to spread all over my garden too, like Angie said! 🙂 But I love the smell of it so I don’t mind.
Thank you! I wish some of my other herbs would spread like that too, for example basil – I’ve not had much luck in growing it.
You really do love avocados, don’t you? (Pretty sure I read it somewhere in one of your posts) I tend to think of avocados as an ingredient for savory things, but you’ve convinced me to look at them in a new light, thanks! Careful with that lemon balm. It spreads! It’s pretty much taken over my garden! But it’s aromatherapy in the garden, so maybe that’s ok ?
Thank you! I love to be thought of as convincing:) My lemon balm is in a pot (is that even considered gardening?) so it won’t spread too much, and now you’ve told me that it likes to take over it’s going to stay in the pot!
Make sure you clip the seedheads coz they reseed like crazy. By that I mean, the seeds drop to the ground and start growing hundreds of more plants!
Thanks for the tips, Angie, I had no idea this nice looking lemon balm is such a garden predator:)
Amazing I need to try – thanks popping in from #BrillBlogPosts Cx
Thanks! Hope you like it:)
Ooh, I’m loving the sound of this smoothie. I use lemon balm a lot as a tisane, but it pretty much ends there. I’m really excited at the idea of using it in a smoothie. I’m also now craving raspberries.
Thank you! I have so much lemon balm in my garden I am trying hard to use it up hence this recipe:)
I love how healthy this is and how full of good fats it is! Also love the flavour combos, definitely a winning recipe!
Thank you Cliona! I’ll eat avocado any way I can, even drink it:)
Fab smoothie! – I am a huge fan of smoothies, but don’t have them often enough. Such a pretty colour and I love the idea of adding lemon balm 😀 Eb x
Thank you! The lemon balm makes it taste quite refreshing.
Wow Monika this sounds delicious! I would gladly drink this at any time of day x
Thank you Mandy! I was actually surprised myself how delicious this smoothie turned out given the slightly unusual ingredients.
It looks beautifully creamy and great minds clearly think alike as my last recipe was a also a drink containing pomegranate molasses! I’ll have to try this combination next time.
Thanks Corina, yes, I noticed the pomegranate molasses in your recipe too, and it was also a beverage so that’s a major coincidence:)
What a beautiful colour and an amazing selection of ingredients. Delicious! I will have to try this one Monika. I bet it is amazing whipped and frozen too….. xx
Thanks Kate, it probably would be great frozen too though I’d have to make another batch to find out as it was gone within 5 minutes of taking the photograph:)
Lovely Monika…the lemon balm is such a great idea!
Thank you Zeba:)
